Skateboard Helmets & Pads

Contrary to popular belief, when your parents urge you to wear a helmet while skateboarding they are actually looking out for your safety and not trying to ruin your image. Your favorite professional skateboarders may not wear them now, but if you got the chance to ask them if they wore a helmet when they first started, they would all probably say yes.  Plus...helmets and pads are required at most skateparks.  The bottom line is that you want to protect yourself so that you can keep skating in the future.
